Capital Wealth Advisors (CWA) is proud to announce that it will once again partner with St. Matthews House on the 21st Annual CWA Turkey Drop. During this food drive, more than 250 volunteers will gather at the First Naples Church parking lot to collect and pack food boxes for distribution to individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Starting November 18, meal boxes will be distributed by CWA and other community partners working with St. Matthew’s House to low-income families, those with disabilities, senior citizens, and veterans across a series of distribution locations throughout Collier and Lee counties. Information on distribution locations and dates can be found at stmatthewshouse.org.
CWA President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Beynon and his wife, Nena, started Turkey Drop more than 20 years ago after he heard a radio spot asking for turkeys to be donated to St. Matthew’s House for those in need during the holiday season. That donation was Beynon’s inspiration for the first official Turkey Drop, and the event has grown exponentially since.
Today, CWA is joined by its many business and community partners in supporting St. Matthew’s House in its feeding mission, with a goal of providing turkeys, sides, vegetable boxes, and pumpkin pies to more than 6,000 families, thanks to a contribution from the Beynon family.
“It is incredible to see how our firm’s employees and the community have come together in support of this event over the years,” said Bill Beynon. “It is truly my favorite holiday tradition.”
The 21st annual CWA Turkey Drop volunteer team includes the entire CWA staff and community partners, including The Beynon Family, First Naples Church, Moglia Family Foundation, Wilson & Johnson, Woods, Weidenmiller, Michetti & Rudnick, Cal-Maine Foods, Inc., Sunshine Ace Hardware, Allen Concrete & Masonry, Inc., Naples Dealers (Acura, Audi, Volkswagen & Infiniti), New IQ, Cogent Bank, FT Cares Foundation, Harborside Animal Clinic, Midwest Food Bank, Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Penske Truck Rental, Alpha Lift Trucks, DeAngelis Diamond, Seed to Table, Sentry Insurance Advisors, Right at Home, Hadinger Flooring, The Partnership, and Ralph MacNiven State Farm.
The public is encouraged to participate in Turkey Drop in the month of November by donating frozen turkeys, canned goods, and other nonperishable items at the St. Matthew’s House donation drop off at 2601 Airport Rd. S. in Naples, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The public can also participate by purchasing a meal for a family in need. Each meal box feeds a family of four to six and includes a turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. “We are deeply grateful for the generosity and leadership of William Beynon, the Capital Wealth Advisors team, and their community partners for bringing so many caring people together to extend the blessings of love and giving to so many,” said St. Matthew’s House CEO Ben Bridges.
