Unveils 2026–27 Author Spotlight Series
It’s perfect symmetry for a series of in-person author talks to kick off with books about book clubs, book lovers, and libraries. Add in a gripping historical novel that spans the American experience from 1897 through the 1940s, and you’ve got the 2026-27 Author Spotlight Series.
The Friends of the Library of Collier County will host three intimate talks and book signings in November, January and April. The events are a chance to meet the authors while supporting the nonprofit Friends group, which donates hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to Collier’s public libraries.
The fifth annual Author Spotlight Series will feature
Marie Bostwick, author of the best-seller The Book Club for Troublesome Women, on Thursday afternoon, November 12. Bostwick, who lives in Washington state, has penned more than 20 works of insightful, uplifting fiction for women. Her lifestyle blog, Fiercely Marie, encourages readers to “live every minute and love every moment.”
Madeline Martin, author of The Booklover’s Library and the upcoming A Time of Witches, on Thursday afternoon, January 28, 2027. Martin is a Florida resident who says research is one of her favorite parts of writing her novels, which span many centuries and subjects. In A Time of Witches, her two heroines appear in a dual timeline — one in modern-day London and the other caught up in the 17th century English witch trials.
Martinn E Winters, Naples-based author of Harry’s Gold, on Thursday afternoon, April 8, 2027. Winters’ novel, based on a true story, centers on a teenager who runs away from home to the Great Northwest and beyond, where he encounters Jack London during the Klondike gold rush. Harry’s life unfolds against the backdrops of the Gilded Age, the Jazz Age, World War I, Prohibition and the Roaring ‘20s, on through World War II.

The Author Spotlight Series will be held again at The Norris Center, located at the southern end of Cambier Park near downtown Naples. Each talk will be followed by a Q-and-A and a book signing. (See below for details on dates, times and all ticket prices.)

Cost: Friends members can purchase a discounted three-event series ticket for $165, or attend individual lectures for $60 each ($70 for non-members). All seating is general admission. Memberships start at $50 annually and include additional discounts and exclusive benefits throughout the year.
