CEO & Executive Artistic Director, The Naples Players

"I believe a theatre succeeds when it truly belongs to its community—and that’s how local work can lead nationally.”

As CEO and Executive Artistic Director of The Naples Players, Bryce Alexander leads with a clear vision: to help redefine how theatres can impact their communities. Under his leadership, the organization has become one of the most active and ambitious nonprofit theatres in the country, completing a $22 million campus transformation, expanding access to arts education, and building programs that extend well beyond the stage.

Today, The Naples Players is not simply a place to attend a performance. It is a cultural hub where students, volunteers, professionals, and audiences come together to create, learn, and belong. Bryce believes theatre should be open, welcoming, and deeply connected to the people it serves. That belief shapes everything from expanded scholarships and inclusive programming to partnerships that use the arts to support healthcare workers, first responders, veterans, and families across the region.

At the heart of Bryce’s leadership is a focus on how the work feels from the inside. Volunteers are treated as collaborators. Students are treated as artists. Professional and community voices share the room without hierarchy defining contribution. The result is an environment grounded in trust, creativity, and shared purpose.

Beyond Naples, Bryce is focused on how The Naples Players can serve as a model for theatres nationwide. By pairing artistic excellence with deep community engagement, he aims to demonstrate that nonprofit theatres can be both locally rooted and nationally influential, helping shift the perception of what theatres can achieve.

As The Naples Players continues to grow its national profile, Bryce remains focused on the long view. His vision is not about growth for its own sake but about demonstrating what is possible when a theatre places community at the center of its mission.
