For Dr. Lavinia Popescu, dentistry is far more than a profession—it is a calling grounded in education, compassion, and service. As co-founder of Elysium Dental Naples, she brings to North Naples a thoughtful blend of advanced clinical expertise and genuinely gentle care.
Originally from Romania, Dr. Popescu discovered her passion for dentistry at a young age after shadowing foreign volunteer dentists serving underserved communities in her home country. Witnessing the life-changing power of a restored smile inspired her to pursue dentistry as a way to give back. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, one of the nation’s leading dental programs, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry.
A devoted familyist, Dr. Popescu is the proud mother of two daughters and believes that caring for people begins with listening and empathy. Her heart for the community is evident through her involvement in international dental mission trips, local outreach efforts, school programs, and volunteering within underserved populations. It was during a dental mission trip abroad that she met her husband and professional partner, Dr. Flavius Popescu—their shared passion for people and service forming the cornerstone of both their marriage and their practice.

Outside the office, Dr. Popescu enjoys hiking, crafting, baking, singing, and organizing community events.
