Relationships Beyond Wealth Management
"I believe that at the end of my career, I’ll remember the human stories, and the deep sense of gratitude that comes from knowing I played a meaningful role in them.”

Early in my career, I met a entrepreneur who was building his business from nothing more than exceptional skill, a pickup truck, and unwavering work ethic. His success accelerated quickly, but his personal financial life hadn’t kept pace. Together, we established the fundamentals, beginning with a clear retirement strategy, a tax efficient framework, and the separation of his business and personal finances. As we worked together over the years and strengthened his portfolio, I watched his mindset shift from chaos to purpose, from fear of losing everything to confidence and pride in securing his family’s future.
Experiences like this shaped my trajectory. I realized early that serving at the highest level demands a commitment to excellence that few pursue. Earning my CFP® and CIMA® required substantial investment of time and discipline, and I’ve never questioned the value of that pursuit. It elevated the standard to which I hold myself and the level at which I serve.
Explain your holistic approach to financial planning.
As I’ve guided clients through increasingly complex decisions, our relationships have evolved far beyond wealth management. We talk about what matters most, what keeps them up at night, and the causes that move them. At Kyros, our hand selected team shares that conviction. We help clients articulate how they want to prepare their children and grandchildren to lead with confidence and steward their wealth responsibly. We stand beside them as they define the legacy they want to leave.
How have over two decades of helping your clients grow and manage their wealth affected the way you balance your own life?
I’ve seen that wealth without purpose offers little fulfillment. My wife and business partner, Heather Clegg, and our son are the center of my life. Our rescue dog, Dolly, brings a sense of ease and joy to our home. I also find balance in quiet backwater fishing. The stillness, the wildlife, and the rhythm of the tide clear my mind. It’s where I reset, refuel, and stay aligned with the mission of meeting our clients’ highest expectations. My commitment to that mission is as strong today as it was the day we opened our doors.
