From a young age, British artist Robina Yasmin was fascinated by the world of colors and the magic they could create on a canvas. It all started when as a young girl her parents gifted her a beautiful set of oil paints. Her journey took a more defined path when Robina graduated from the prestigious Glasgow School of Arts in Scotland.
Over the past 20 years, Robina has been perfecting her skills as a professional artist, showcasing her work in numerous exhibitions both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Robina has a keen understanding of how to manipulate light to enhance her compositions. This is a crucial aspect of painting that can transform a piece from ordinary to extraordinary. The richness of oil paint allows the artist to create depth of color and texture that can evoke strong emotions in the viewer.
Robina’s artwork focuses on animals, flowers, and the human form. As her family roots are in Kenya, it is natural that the artist has a strong interest in African wildlife, and especially zebras.

Robina often spends hours observing zebras in their natural habitat in Kenya, capturing their essence through sketches and photographs. Through her artworks, Robina not only documents the beauty of zebras but also tells stories that reflect the complexities of social relationships, emotions, and the shared experiences between humans and animals. Each painting becomes a narrative, inviting viewers to explore the deeper connections that exist in the animal kingdom, and perhaps, to see a bit of themselves in these magnificent creatures.
Robina's goal is to create pieces that not only captivate the eye but also resonate with the soul, inviting viewers to embark on their own journey of interpretation and reflection.
